Weekly Status Report: May 21 - May 25

This week we tried to finish our lessons on ergonomics but only got part 3 and part 4 done. We learned how to a void ingury by taking perodic breaks and exrisinging. we also started doing animations in VB. these are kind of cool but otherwise useless. i also learned that ergonomics are useless in real life.

Weekly Status Report: Apr. 9 - Apr. 13

This week we learned about loops. We had several loops programs to do as well as a trace project. At first i found the loops rather confusing. But as we learned to debug. i found the loops very simiple.

Weekly Status Report: Apr.2 - Apr. 6

This week we did a progect about a pizza place. We had to make the the program be able to choose the type of pizza and the size, and if they choose a custom pizza the can choose the topics as well as side orders and drinks.

Weekly Status Report: Mar. 26 - Mar. 30

This week we learned about case, and how we can you if with if. But unfornately i was sick or away for most of the week.

Weekly Status Report: Mar. 19 - Mar 23

This week in class we were learning about if and else, as well as cases in programming. What that means is that if you do one thing then the computer will follow that path, but if you do another thing the computer will do another thing.

Some of the problems that have encountered this week are that I was sick on Tuesday and Wednesdays so I missed the lesson of if and else so on Thursday I had to get my friends help so I could write the programs properly, and my friend is not always the most reliable person. But in the end I learned how to write programs with if and else, and have finished one of the assigned problem that we had to program.

Weekly Status Report: Mar. 5 - Mar. 9

This week we started programing for the first time. it pretty sweet, first we started with our first program, which was a tax calculator, the we had to make another 4 programs.

The programming is way funner than i thought it would be. but i can be very tedious to remember how the computer reads the code. Although i was hoping to do more turning type coding the Visual Basics seems way easier to use. I cannot wait to get into the more advanced programming that should be so sweet!

Weekly Status Report: Feb 26 - Mar 2

This week we learned about programming theory. It was very boring and can't what to start programming next week.

1 of the major problems with the theory is that if would have be easier for me to learn it if I actually had used the Visual Basics program before or if I had ever programmed before but, still I am glad I switched in to the class for TEE.

Weekly Status Report: Feb. 5 - Feb. 9

Will i have just completed my first week of TIK and so far it as been pretty cool. We started out by making this blog but we spent most of the rest of the working on theory and flow charts.

So far it has not been very challenging the most difficult task would have been adding audio clips to the blog, how I got around this was that I googled it and it gave me a site that I could type in the music on and it would give me the embedded html code, you were instructed to copy this, then in the post creator you clicked on the HTML tab (in stead of compose) and paste the code then back in compose you could add text beside, above, or below the player bar.

In conclusion I think that this will be an interesting course and I hope to take away some useful stuff. Although I don’t know what a blog has to do with computer programming, but as long as it’s for marks I’ll still do my best at it.
